The Last Vacancy

Neon once promised a warm meal, a vacancy, or a place to stop for the night. Today, many of those signs remain while the stories behind them slowly fade. The Last Vacancy is an ongoing photographic project documenting the motels, diners, drive-ins, and roadside landmarks that continue to glow—or quietly wait—across the American West. These photographs are less about nostalgia and more about preserving the character of places that still have something to say.
